Know your audience – So, of course you know who your audience is, right? Even if you know your audience very well, it’s not a bad exercise to re-do some customer personas and really look to see if the audience demographic has changed and if so, why?

You should know as much as you can about your target audience. What are their preferences, their needs and most importantly, what challenges do they face and are they challenges your product/service can help with? If you know at least some of this, it will greatly help to shape your brand story as you go through the process.

And if you know where they are, what they face and what resonates with them, you’ll be able to be where they are and be visible. So, while it sounds simple, reminding yourself about who your target audience is and doing a bit of research will really help, especially if your brand needs a bit of a refresh.
